![]() Highlight everything about character #3 (from line that says ”%NAME%” 1 #c. You now have four characters in your save file, but they share the same IDs, which is not good. (I would add some picture here, but the screenshots of text are not really representative IMO, so just ask if it’s unclear). At the end of that line add two line breaks and insert what you’ve copied before. Go to “2.save” file and find the line that says, once again, “2 char-validation” there (should be #283). ![]() Now, in your “1.save” highlight everything from line 1 to line that says “2 char-validation” (it’s presumably #283). I recommend using Notepad++ for this, regular Notepad just won't cut it. The save is once again there and called " 1.save".įirst off, make copies of both “0.save” and “0.slot” and rename them into “2.save” and “2.slot” respectively.Open up your "1.save" and “2.save” files. Then do the exact same thing as before: start the game, wait until you arrive at your first location, force close the game. What matters is a save slot, which has to be the top right one this time. Now pick two remaining characters for your starting party. Now half of work is done, let's take care about the rest of the crew. It's OK - just pick any location, it doesn't matter.Īs soon as you're there, ALT+F4 out of the game. You gotta wait until the game creates your characters and gives them first loot, which will happen right before the first ABL event. Make sure to pick the top left save slot. If you want your friends to suffer and straight ahead hate the game (and you), go choose "Marathon" or something.Īnyway, as soon as you're ready, start the game. Make sure to pick the game mode you want to embark in! For a relatively relaxed party game I would recommend "Long winding road" or a "Normal mode", but it's up to you. I also recommend, if you have any characters that give you any special loot, like "Gun Collector", to pick them now. Pick first two of your buddies on the starting screen. Now, you are going to create the save file we will mess around with. ![]() Since you've got the idea of going on the Death Road with your mates, guess you'd have the custom chars for all of your crew, wouldn't you? If not, go to "Custom Characters" menu in the game and prepare some, it's fun! Find all files that end with "save" or "slot" and move them into the folder you've just created. ![]() You will find your save game files in this folder:Ĭ:\Users\%Username%\AppData\Roaming\.madgarden\DR2CĬreate a folder like "savebackup". And it's easy! Promise!įirst thing you gotta do is to get rid of any save game files you currently have, as they'll just be an obstacle on your way. So I've messed around with save game files a little bit and managed to accomplish the goal! It took me less than 30 minutes, and it will take even less of you, as you have this guide. But sometimes that's not what you want, because it may be too hard for a party game, and then again - those special chars are not the custom chars that you've created for yourself and your friends. C'mon, Kepa, just add two more tabs on the start screen and name them all P1-P4 to save up space, what could it possibly break? (I'm just kidding of course, sure enough it's more complicated than that.)Īnyway, the only way to have a full load from the start Kepa offers for now is an OPP mode. I've also read that Kepa doesn't want to add the ability to start with 4 chars, because that would break the interface. And we decided we gotta have a run once, four of us.Some time later I realised that the game won't allow us to start with four characters - so two will play, while other two will have to wait until some recruits show up.From what I've read in the internet, in some instances it took up to 15 minutes of waiting. Once I was presenting Death Road to Canada to two of my friends as the game, where we have characters not only of me and my girlfriend, but those friends too.
